Mother of an 7-year-old asperger boy

Having some difficulties in being creative about the fields of interest, my son is planning and preparing for his future as a doctor. He keeps watching videos about vaccination programmes in primary schools, some surgical operations and everything related to the profession he can find online. He is in front of his computer which he is using very well since the age of two. His future wife is chosen; from one of his classmates, a girl who is more friendly and understanding than anyone else. He plans everything beforehand, this is the way for him to feel secure.
A couple of nights ago he was watching again one of those scary videos even for an adult, showing no sign of emotion at all. This always make me think that it does not affect him the way it does the others without the asperger syndrome. He looked at me and said:"Mum, I'm gonna be a doctor but I'm never gonna be a surgeon you know." I asked him why and his answer was for me the short way to describe a child with asperger: "I never can hold a knife(scalpel he means)against a person."
He surprises me everyday in a positive way and I thank God that I have him as a gift. He is my reason to believe.
