Know yourself

My son Joe won the 'Spirit Award' at his school this year, considering there are over 1000 pupils at his main stream school, he has done extremely well to acheive this. The award was given for his academic ability in both Maths and science. Its been a rocky road for both Joe and our family but these occassions make you realise that to achieve amazing things, maybe sometimes it helps to be different. He now understands his diagnosis and as learned how to deal with certain situations, which are intuative to people without the condition. I would never have imagined my little boy who had severe behavioural problems could turn out to be such a wonderful young man. |
